***Medical Hold***

Great Dane, Female, 9 years old

Meet Bailey, an incredibly sweet and beautiful Great Dane. This lovely lady is almost 9 years old but don’t let her age fool you...she is still full of spunk! Bailey is a true velcro dog, your shadow, and wants nothing more than to please you. She is incredibly affectionate and her favorite activity is cuddling. She is friendly, good with other dogs and enjoys playing chase with them. Unfortunately, Bailey is heartworm positive and still being assessed for the severity and best course of treatment for her age. She will have extra diagnostics before any treatment due to increased risks that come with a senior dog. Bailey is a very smart girl who is well behaved. She knows basic commands, is house broken and good with free roam and crates. Bailey is such a special sweetheart and wonderful companion with so much to offer. If you're interested in adding this amazing senior girl to your family, submit an adoption application today!

Flaca

Great Dane, Female, 5 years old

Flaca is a friendly, confident, and happy pup!  She has a probable old hip injury and walks with a slight limp but gets around just fine.  As a result of the injury, however, she is on a regimen of pain medication. Her foster family says she loves to rub on people, back and forth, just like a cat!  She will do her whole body against your legs. They say, “She has a big personality and keeps us laughing!” Flaca knows basic commands and is easy going and playful with other dogs but we’re not sure about cats yet.  She’s friendly with men, women and children and gets excited when greeting new people, but not overly so, and will often greet people with a toy. Like most dogs, she enjoys lounging on the couch, getting treats and is a great cuddler!  If you can give this girl a new home, the best thing to keep in mind is to just give her some space to get comfortable while showing her love and she’ll settle right in! If you're looking for a companion like Flaca, please start by filling out an adoption application today!

Luna

***Medical Hold***

Great Dane, Female, 2 years old

Luna is 2 years old and gets along with everybody! She really enjoys being in the middle of things and is a lover. Luna has a neurological issue that causes her to walk sometimes like she's drunk and even though she likes playing with other dogs she can lose her balance easily if others bump into her.  Because of this, she's a little cautious when playing. This is not something that is expected to progress as she ages. She still needs to put on some weight as she was pretty underweight when she came to us. She really enjoys being with people! Due to having difficulties controlling her muscles sometimes she will bump into people and when she goes to take food from someone’s hand she accidentally pushes her head too far and puts her mouth over the entire hand but she doesn't bite down. Luna has done well when going to new places or meeting new dogs. This sweet girl probably needs to be in a home that doesn’t have a lot of stairs and isn’t expected to go for daily walks. If you would be interested in opening your forever home to Luna submit your adoption application today!

Millie

Great Dane/Lab mix, Female, 3 years old

Millie came into the rescue when she was on the euthanasia list at a shelter in Wichita. She's black with two white spots on her chets. She is crate trained, but prefers free roam. She'd rather be around other dogs or people all day, than left alone. Millie doesn't meet a stranger. On walks she's curious of other dogs and people, so she pulls a little and will need some leash training. She can be a little rough when playing, so a home with older children is best. If you giver peanut butter, she'll be your best friend. She doesn't have aggression towards food or toys. She's most happy next to her human. Car rides are one of her favorite activities, and she doesn't like to be left behind. She's a young adult and will do well with an acitve individual or family. Cleo

Great Dane, Female, 1.5 years old

Cleo is a spunky 1.5 year old. She is solid black with a white area on her chest and toes. She is being fostered with Mary (also available for adoption). Cleo loves toys, especially Kongs when they have peanut butter and spray cheese in them. As a young adult she does have her hyper moments when you come home for the day, and occasionally you'll get some zoomies out of her in the backyard. She gets along with everyone that she's been introduced to, when done properly. She is the most playful one, compared to her young foster sister Mary. She is crate trained, but has not been tested with free roam yet. Cleo is also a great car ride buddy. She'll be a great companion for weekend road trips. At first Cleo is uncertain with new comers, but warms up when I'm around. She'll need some adjustment time in her forever home, but once she's comfortable she'll love you forever. Mary

Great Dane, Female, 1 year old

Mary came into the rescue with her sister's Sarah and Winnie (also available for adoption). Mary is being fostered with her foster sister Cleo. She has gone through basic training, so she’ll need a committed adopter to keep her on track with her manners. She is LEASH TRAINED and loves going on walks. Mary does enjoy playing with Cleo, and when it gets too rough she finds a spot close to her foster mom for safety. She is submissive when it comes to playtime. She loves treats and some toys, especially Kong's stuffed with peanut butter and spray cheese. Mary also does well on car rides. Marshmellow

Great Dane, Female, 6 months old

She has been going through basic training and will need an experienced adopter so she can grow up into a respectful young lady. She is food motivated and has been doing well with her training. Scarlette

***Medical Hold***

Great Dane, Female, 3 years old

Miss Scarlett is feeling much better and getting some much needed weight on her. Besides food, girlfriend loves time with her pack and humans. Her bite wounds are healing slowly, but as you can see, there is a long history of wounds. Luckily this girl totally believes that the scars may show where she's been, but they certainly doesn’t dictate where she will go! If you're interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application here: adoption application.

Darby

Great Dane, Female, 3 years old

Darby absolutely loves to play no matter what the weather is! This beautiful girl is looking for a very special forever home. She is 3 years old, good with free roam, although if you leave something tasty on the counter she might be tempted to sample it. She knows basic commands, loves to snuggle on the couch and loves to play! Darby needs to be an only dog (she likes to be the center of atttention and doesn’t like sharing it with other pets). Who can blame her? She is gorgeous, smart, sweet and worthy of being somebody’s one and only ❤️ She will do great with someone who is active and wants to include her in their adventures. She would be a good fit for an active family with older children as well. If you're interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application here: adoption application.
