Great Dane, Male, 3 years old
This big boy is very sweet and super eager to please. He’s timid when first meeting new people, especially men and slow introductions to men are an absolute must. He does not like to be approached from above (which is really a no-no with many dogs) and a home with adults that understand dog etiquette with timid dogs of his size is highly encouraged. He has not shown any aggression toward other dogs and plays very well with them, but his behavior around cats is unknown. A home with small children is not recommended because of his high energy, but older children would be fine.
He is working on his leash manners (he LOVES long walks) as well as learning not to jump on people - he sits after being reminded that it’s rude to do that.
His foster mom says he is a huge puppy and wants lots of attention. She says he is a true velcro dog and a fun guy and that his endearing attributes are his cuddly nature and the fact that he’s a goof-ball.
Zeus has learned some counter surfing techniques that he’ll need to un-learn, but he is not destructive.
